Right to Examination at Graduation

Students who have taken all the courses required for graduation and failed with (FF) or (FD) grades in at most two courses included in their grade point average, excluding courses involving graduation projects, studios, internships and similar long-term project work, will be given the exam on the announcement date or summer of their final grades of the current semester. The right to take an additional exam is given by the decision of the relevant board of directors, provided that the student applies to the faculty/school he/she is affiliated with within fifteen days from the date of announcement of the final grades. The latest code, name and credits on the transcript of the course(s) for which additional examination rights will be granted are taken into consideration. The student's success is determined by the grades received from these exams.

If the student does not use his right to take additional exams on time or fails despite using his right to take additional exams, he must repeat these courses in the first semester they are opened or in summer school. If the course/courses they have to repeat are not offered in the following semester or summer school, students can use the right to take additional exams again until the end of the relevant semester or summer school final exams, provided that the exam fee is paid.

Students whose GPA is below 2.00 even though they are successful in all the courses required for graduation, except for courses involving graduation projects, studio and similar long-term project work, will be given a course(s) in which they received a (DD), (DC) or (CC) grade. The right to take an additional exam is given by the decision of the relevant board of directors, provided that the student applies to the faculty/school he/she is affiliated with within fifteen days from the announcement date of the final semester exams or the announcement date of the summer school final grades. The latest code, name and credits on the transcript of the course(s) for which additional examination rights will be granted are taken into consideration. A student who cannot graduate as a result of the additional exam is given the right to take another additional exam until the end of the following semester or summer term final exams, provided that the exam fee is paid. For students whose GPA is still below 2.00,

The student who will use the right to take additional exams must apply to the faculty/department/college to which he/she is affiliated in order to take these exams within the deadline and in accordance with the procedure. If a student who took the exam despite not applying on time was given a grade in error, this grade will be deemed invalid.

A student who does not take the exams for a total of three consecutive or intermittent academic years is deemed to have given up his right to take additional exams and cannot benefit from these rights.

In order to graduate from the registered program, all courses in the curriculum must be completed with at least a (DD) or (S) letter grade, a GPA of at least 2.00 and the total ECTS credits determined for the program must be completed.
