Inter-Institutional Transfer Applications Based on Central Placement Score

General Principles

(1) In accordance with the “Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfers”; Transfers can be made between institutions according to the general grade point average and the central placement score.

(2) There is no ÖSYS scholarship or ÖSYS discounted quota for horizontal transfers between domestic and international institutions.

(3) In admission to the program to which the inter-institutional transfer is desired; The scores of the student's placement year and the points applied in the placement process to higher education institutions of that year, the types of points, and the order of success, if any, are taken into account.

(4) Students who meet the success order requirement can apply to the departments/programs whose success order is sought in the ÖSYS Guide in the relevant year.

(5) In the transition to programs with special conditions in the ÖSYS Guide, students must meet these conditions, among other conditions.

(6) For the programs that accept students with a special talent exam, applications for lateral transfer between institutions can only be made according to the grade point average, and applications for lateral transfer between institutions cannot be made according to the central placement score.

(7) Horizontal transfers can be made from higher education institutions abroad recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

(8) Applicants for lateral transfer applications from programs in which the language of instruction is Turkish to programs with a compulsory foreign language class must be successful in the foreign language proficiency exam to be held by OSTİM Technical University or have received a score at the level of success determined in the national or internationally valid foreign language exams. .

(9) Candidates who have registered to higher education institutions abroad with their own means cannot apply for horizontal transfer between institutions according to their central placement score (Annex Item 1). Only domestic and TRNC universities can apply for horizontal transfer between institutions according to the central placement score (Additional Article 1).

(10) Horizontal transfers can be made between institutions at the same level, with the same names or with different names but whose contents are determined to be at least eighty percent the same by the relevant boards of directors.

(11) The conversion tables determined by the Council of Higher Education or the conversion table accepted by the OSTİM Technical University Senate are used in converting the success grades obtained according to the 100-point system to the 4-point system.

(12) Frozen registration or not renewing registration do not constitute an obstacle to benefit from the right to transfer.

Conditions for Application

(1) Horizontal transfer applications cannot be made from foreign higher education institutions other than TRNC based on the central placement score (additional article 1).

(2) Students studying at universities in TRNC can apply for horizontal transfer between institutions only at the beginning of the academic year, according to the central placement score (additional article-1) to undergraduate and associate degree programs, but cannot apply during midterms.

(3) Applications can be made for lateral transfer in all classes, including preparatory class, intermediate classes and senior year.

(4) In the year in which the candidate is registered to the higher education institution, if a quota is not allocated for the relevant program of our University in the ÖSYS guide, a horizontal transfer application cannot be made since the central placement base score is not formed.

(5) Students who do not enroll in the higher education institution they are entitled to enroll in cannot apply for horizontal transfer.

(6) The student's central placement score in the year of registration must be equal to or higher than the base score of the program he/she wants to pass. Candidates who meet these conditions can also transfer from associate degree programs to undergraduate programs, and from undergraduate programs to associate degree programs.

(9) Students studying in programs that accept students through a special talent exam can also apply for horizontal transfer if their central placement score for the year they are registered is equal to or higher than the base score of the program they want to pass. However, it is not possible to apply for horizontal transfer between institutions based on the central placement score for programs that accept students with a special aptitude test.
